Tom Telesco on trading up for Melvin Gordon & Rivers’ talks

Chargers general manager Tom Telesco joined Darren Smith in studio to discuss the team’s draft and why they felt it was necessary to trade up for Melvin Gordon. Telesco also explained what was behind his statement of “seven impact players” on their first round big board and where they are in talks with Philip Rivers.

“You’re not going to find a Melvin-Gordon talent in the fourth or fifth round,” said Telesco. “A player of his caliber, his talent, they don’t come around very often.”
