    There are only three players the Padres should be considering trading. Shields, with his absurd amount due next year, has to go. Justin Upton who certainly won’t be here next year has to go. We need serious batting prospects in exchange. If there is anyway humanly possible to unload the grossly overpaid Melvin Upton Jr., by all means do it, but obviously this is unlikely. There is no good reason to involve any other Padres in trade talks.
