Mike McCoy, Donald Butler & rookie Josh Lambo on Chargers 2nd pre-season game

There was no Philip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Corey Liuget or Jason Verrett in the Chargers second pre-season game of the 2015 season.

But the story emerging isn’t the seven sacks compiled by the Chargers defense, including two by Melvin Ingram or a nice performance by third string quarterback Brad Sorenson. Instead, it’s the performance turned in by rookie kicker Josh Lambo out of Texas A&M, who nailed three field goals including a game-winning 47 yarder as time expired.

After the game, head coach Mike McCoy discussed what stood out, Donald Butler on the play of the linebackers and Lambo on why he’s here to win a job.
