The San Diego Chargers and their best 53 took to the practice fields on Monday to start preparing for the Detroit Lions. That included four undrafted rookies, kicker Josh Lambo, inside linebacker Nick Dzubnar, wide receiver Tyrell Williams and offensive tackle Tyreek Burwell.
Chargers cornerback Brandon Flowers discussed the challenges of facing Megatron and how the young secondary has meshed together.
The Bolts also named their official team captains. Philip Rivers, Eric Weddle and Darrell Stuckey all return as captains. Antonio Gates, who is suspended through the first four games was named a captain and his role will be split by Malcom Floyd and King Dunlap during the first four weeks. Corey Liuget was named a first-time captain and he discussed why the Chargers need to do less talking and let their actions speak for them.
