Coach John Kentera resigns from The Mighty 1090

Earlier today, Coach John Kentera resigned from The Mighty 1090. As a long-time voice on our airwaves, his presence will be missed.

We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

It is with mixed emotions that I want to inform you that Coach John Kentera has decided to resign from Mighty 1090 / BCA effective today. John has been an important part of the development of the Mighty 1090 from it’s very beginnings and he has been a positive force in the San Diego sports scene for an even longer period of time. He has been a constant on the San Diego airwaves for over twenty five years beginning with a High School Sports Show on San Diego’s original sports station XTRA Sports 690. John has been involved with most of the San Diego teams over the years including Chargers, SDSU, Sockers and of course most recently with the San Diego Padres post game show. We sincerely appreciate John’s contributions and wish him and his family all the best for the future.
