BREAKING NEWS: Red Sox acquiring Craig Kimbrel from Padres

San Diego Padres pitcher Craig Kimbrel

The San Diego Padres traded for closer Craig Kimbrel on the eve of the 2015 MLB season, parting with Cameron Maybin, Carlos Quentin, Matt Wisler, and prospect Jordan Paroubeck to get him.

In his one year with the Padres, Kimbrel saved 39 games and had an ERA of 2.58. He is owed $11.25 million in 2016, and $13.25 million in 2017.

Logan Allen is an 18 year old pitcher in the Red Sox minor league system. He was drafted in the 8th round of the 2015 draft by Boston. Margot is a AA outfielder who hit .271 with an OBP of .326 last season.
