REPORT: NFL Owners to Meet on L.A. Relocation in Mid-January

The Hollywood Sign

Mid-January would be a perfect time for a vote on which NFL teams, if any, would be allowed to relocate to Los Angeles.

It would allow said team to back out of their lease with their current city, most of which need to be renewed or cancelled by the start of February, and allow the most possible time to set up a game plan for temporary housing for said team(s) in the existing Los Angeles stadiums.

One question remains, and may be answered by tomorrow’s NFL Owners Meeting in Dallas, which is whether or not the owners are ready for a vote or if they’re more likely to delay the final decision another year. The answer to that question will likely determine how important this mid-January meeting ends up being.
