6th Annual Clean Your Drawers Holiday Clothing & Electronics Drive

Thursday December 17, 2015 & Friday December 18, 2015

The Mighty 1090 Live Broadcast at Slater’s 50/50 Liberty Station

The Mighty 1090 will host the 6th Annual Clean Your Drawers Holiday Clothing & Unwanted Electronics Drive Thursday and Friday, December 17th & 18th, 2015 from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Fans of the station and generous San Diegans can bring their new or gently used clothing donations and unwanted electronics to Slater’s 50/50 located at 2750 Dewey Rd #193, San Diego, CA 92106.

All clothing donations will go to Alpha Project, Alpha Project is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) human services organization that serves over 4,000 men, women, and children each day. Services offered include affordable housing, residential substance abuse treatment, supportive housing for people with special needs, basic and emergency services for the homeless, transportation assistance, mental health counseling, employment training, preparation and placement, emergency shelter, HIV/AIDS, education, outreach and prevention, and community services.

C2SDK believes all children and their families in San Diego, regardless of their economic status, need to be computer literate and have equal access to technology and the crucial educational, occupational, and financial resources that technology can provide to improve their educational options and their futures.

“Clean Your Drawers” started 6 years ago as a sock drive with Scott Kaplan & Billy Ray Smith. The response from the San Diegans has been overwhelming. To see it develop into an annual community event to help San Diego’s homeless during the holidays is an accomplishment that we are proud of at The Mighty 1090,” says BCA’s Programing/Operations Manager Mike Shepard.

Broadcast Company of the Americas (BCA) operates The Mighty 1090 AM, 105.7 MAX-FM, and ESPN 1700 AM and holds the radio broadcast rights for the San Diego Padres and the San Diego State Aztecs.
