Padres reportedly sign RHP Fernando Rodney

Fernando Rodney

After trading away Craig Kimbrel and Joaquin Benoit this offseason, the San Diego Padres were in the market for a closer.

Rodney has 236 career saves, and has notched more than 35 saves in four separate MLB seasons. Last season he finished with 16 saves while splitting time between the Seattle Mariners and the Chicago Cubs.
