Padres acquire RHP Straily from Astros – MLB.com
The San Diego Padres added some pitching depth at very little cost Monday evening, acquiring right-hander Dan Straily from the Astros for catcher Erik Kratz.

Straily is not a lock to make the club, and the Padres haven’t yet decided on his role. He could factor into their plans as either a starter or a reliever.

Pomeranz roughed up against Royals – San Diego Union-Tribune
In Monday’s 11-3 loss to Kansas City, Drew Pomeranz walked off the mound after only three innings. He’d surrendered six runs on two walks and five hits, including one by each of the Royals’ first three batters of the afternoon. In order, they were a home run, a single and a two-run home run.
