A Jon Jay double into the right centerfield gap at Coors Field was finally enough to get the San Diego Padres on the board in the 2016 MLB season after starting with 30 consecutive scoreless innings.

After two unsuccessful attempts to knock in baserunners that were in scoring position in the 2nd and 3rd innings, the team finally managed to plate a run in the 4th inning. Colin Rea has had a rough start to the game, getting in jams and throwing a lot of pitches, but the Padres lead the Rockies by a score of 3-2 as the 4th inning continues.
