Gulls dominate first home playoff game, 6-1

In the team’s first home playoff game as a member of the American Hockey League, the San Diego Gulls dominated the Texas Stars on their way to a 6-1 win at the Valley View Casino Center.

Nick Ritchie stayed hot, having now scored in each of the team’s three playoff games, and was supported by guys like Brandon Montour (who had 9 shots on goal) and Shea Theodore (who had 3 assists).

In front of a loud home crowd, Anton Khudobin stopped all but one of the 29 shots he faced in goal for the Gulls. He’ll be tested once again on Friday night, with a Gulls win being one that would clinch the playoff series and set up a matchup against either Ontario or San Jose in the next round.
