Last week, the team drafted Max Tuerk out of USC to be their Center of the future. However, Tuerk is recovering from knee surgery and the jury is out on if he’d be ready to be the team’s starting Center in 2016.
Today, the Chargers announced that they had officially signed veteran Guard and Center Matt Slauson, who was released last week by the Chicago Bears. In addition to providing depth to the interior of the line, which suffered many injuries last season, Slauson is expected to at least compete for the starting Center position at Chargers Training Camp this summer.
