Opener vs. Cubs postponed; twin bill Wednesday – MLB.com
The Friendly Confines weren’t so friendly to the Padres on Monday night, as their series opener against the Cubs was postponed by rain.

The two clubs will make up the game on Wednesday afternoon as part of a split doubleheader. Game 1 is slated for 10:05 a.m. PT; Game 2 will take place in the originally scheduled 5:05 p.m. timeslot.

It was revealed yesterday that Melvin Gordon, whom the San Diego Chargers traded up and then drafted in the 1st round of the 2015 NFL Draft, underwent microfracture surgery over the offseason.
