The Padres moved to 19-29 on the season and sit 10.5 back of first place in the NL West after losing 4-3 to the Giants on the road. The San Francisco Giants needed an extra inning to get it done on Wednesday afternoon, but their win over the San Diego Padres makes their record 9-0 against the Friars this season.

Padres CEO on DJ’s return: Team will be ‘open-minded’ – San Diego Union-Tribune
There has been a groundswell of support for the Padres to reinstate DJ ArtForm, who was fired in the aftermath of the national anthem recording mixup with the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus before Saturday’s Dodgers-Padres game at Petco Park.

A Padres spokesperson said on Tuesday that the team would have no further comment until Major League Baseball concludes an investigation on the matter. But in a radio interview Wednesday morning on The Mighty 1090, Padres President and CEO Mike Dee said the organization would be “open-minded” to speak with DJ ArtForm once the MLB investigation concludes.
