Brice Johnson talks LA Clippers basketball on The Jim Rome Show

Former North Carolina big man Brice Johnson couldn’t be happier after getting drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers 25th overall in last week’s NBA Draft, even though he felt like he would’ve been a lottery pick.

“I fit in well with that team; my style of play is exactly what they do,” the lengthy 6’ 11” forward told The Jim Rome Show on Thursday. “I like to get up and down and catch lobs, shoot the jump shot and I love doing all those type of things.”

Johnson believes he will complement the Clippers’ Big Three of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan nicely.

“I have no clue what practice is going to be like, but I know games are going to be fun,” Johnson laughed. “I look forward to catching lobs from CP and probably go high-low with Blake or DeAndre. I’m just looking forward to the whole experience with those guys, getting to learn some things from them.”

At North Carolina, Johnson was coached by Hall of Famer Roy Williams. Williams is on record of saying he coached Johnson harder than any four year player he’s ever had, a point Johnson agrees with.

“Yeah, it was definitely an experience over the four years. He probably said my name more than he’s ever said anyone else’s name in the history of him coaching,” Johnson said.

Johnson admitted there were days when he’d had enough of Williams, but said overall he was grateful for what the 2-time National Championship winning coach did for him.

“I did sometimes think, hey can you get off my back sometimes, but at the same time, I knew he wanted me to be the player I was this year. He just wanted to push me, make me into the player I was, that I am,” Johnson said. “I’m thankful for the opportunity he gave me. I didn’t want to take it for granted, because I knew somebody else was coming in trying to take my spot, and I knew I had to work hard to keep what I got. And I knew he wasn’t going to give me anything so I had to work as hard as I can.”

Bad Take, ODB

Odell Beckham Jr is a playmaker. But he’s convinced himself that he’s also a star maker. And he’s wrong. Speaking to GQ, it actually sounds like he’s taking credit for Josh Norman’s career, quote: “The reason he’s

This is as Jets as it gets. Less than a week from now, they’ll be on the practice field. And it looks like their alleged starting quarterback will be on the golf course. That’s where Ryan Fitzpatrick is
