REPORT: Chargers want to defer “roughly half” of Bosa’s signing bonus

Tom telesco

San Diego Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco told Dan Sileo this morning that the team’s front office did not feel that they were being unreasonable in their request during contract negotiations with 1st Round pick Joey Bosa, and now we have a better idea of what that request actually is….

No reason is given as to why the Chargers would want to defer payment on roughly half of Bosa’s signing bonus.

One thing is for sure if the two sides feel that they show weakness by reaching out: This battle between the San Diego Chargers front office and the #3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft is far from over.

Antonio Gates commented on it on Tuesday, saying that Bosa needed to “be a man” and get himself into Training Camp.
