The league announced that four-year veteran Damion Square has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Reportedly, Square did not fail a drug test, but missed a scheduled test.

The San Diego Chargers defensive line is already depleted after placing Sean Lissemore on Injured Reserve and failing to come to an agreement with 1st round pick Defensive End Joey Bosa out of Ohio State.

Square is listed on the team’s depth chart as the backup Nose Tackle behind Brandon Mebane. Ryan Carruthers, who filled that role last season, is expected to take over as the team’s backup Nose Tackle again to start this season.
