San Diego Chargers LB Manti Te'o

In Week 1, the San Diego Chargers lost WR Keenan Allen to a season-ending knee injury.

In Week 2, they lost RB Danny Woodhead to a season-ending knee injury.

Early on in their road game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Chargers may have lost LB Manti Te’o for a length period to what looked to be a pretty serious non-contact injury.

While it looked hopeful at first, with Te’o staying on the sideline, eventually he was taken back to the locker room on the dreaded injury cart.

The report from the Chargers is that Te’o injured his Achilles and will not return to the game.

Rookie LB Jatavis Brown is expected to replace Manti Te’o in today’s game and going forward. Rookie LB Joshua Perry can help in the future, but is inactive for today’s game.

Whether or not the Chargers find a way to get a road win against the Colts, the questions on Monday will be able why the team is unable to avoid major leg injuries to their star players.
