The San Diego Chargers have struggled to stay healthy early on in the 2016 regular season, losing Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead to season-ending injuries in their first two games after losing Jeff Cumberland and Branden Oliver in the preseason, and now have one more name to add to their Injured-Reserve list.

It sounds as though Manti Te’o, who went down with an injury during the team’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, is expecting to miss the remainder of the season. There were reports early this morning that the team fears Te’o has torn his Achilles and are waiting for the MRI results to confirm this diagnosis.

Jatavis Brown, the Chargers’ 2016 5th round draft pick out of Akron, filled in for Te’o on Sunday and is expected to take over as the team’s starting Inside Linebacker next to Denzel Perryman.

4th round draft pick Joshua Perry was inactive on Sunday but should get a bigger opportunity going forward, unless the Chargers sign a veteran free agent this week.
