The Aztecs played the game everyone has been awaiting in a season sodden by enormous (and perhaps unreasonable) expectations, waxing Nevada 70-56 by doing all the things they had shown in spurts but not for 40 minutes, by diving for loose balls, by rotating on defense, by attacking the rim, by making the extra pass, by blocking shots into the cheerleaders – by taking a double-digit lead and, yes, actually extending it.
