DAILY LINKS: Tyson Ross, Jordan Lyles claimed off waivers

Two veteran Padres right-handers, Tyson Ross and Jordan Lyles, were claimed off waivers on Sunday, making room on the roster for reliever Trey Wingenter, who was selected from Triple-A El Paso. Hinting at more moves in the coming days and weeks, manager Andy Green called the Padres’ moves prior to Sunday’s series finale vs. the Cubs at Wrigley Field “one big step closer to the future for us.”
